The Night Marchers
Oh today is a gigantic day for Steven everybody. Gigantic day.
John Reis the mastermind behind Pitchfork, Drive Like Jehu, the Hot Snakes, and of course, the greatest live band ever Rocket From the Crypt, is gracing our humble rock show to promote his new and awesome project the Night Marchers.
I interviewed Madonna and Snoop Dogg last week and I'm way more nervous.
The Night Marchers is on Vagrant. Go get it. Do it.
Couple things I want to hip you on:
One: Stay til the end of the credits after Iron Man is over. JUST DO IT!
and
Two: Check out this awesome website about upcoming bands:
http://inklings. tv/
It's super well done and created for and by music fans like yourselves. Check it.
That is all for today.
Keep those letters pouring in!
hugs,
Steven

THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU MORE
A HUGE heartfelt thank you to everyone who sent me a letter. You are the rock stars of my life and I can't thank you enough. We've gotten a bunch. You rule.
I want more. I want your voices to be heard. Write me letters. Tell me why you love Fuse and who your favorite bands are. Don't let me down and I won't you.
That being said we are gearing up for the Bamboozle this weekend and I'm super damn psyched. We've covered all of the Bamboozles on this coast and this year should prove to be as badass as the previous. Two words people:
Snoop Dogg
You think I'm kidding but I've seen Snoop before and it's frickin amazing. And guess who'll be interviewing his Doggyness? This guy.
And we'll be interiewing every other damn band at the festival as well as running around like maniacs doing what we do for you who we love.
LETTERS LETTERS LETTERS!

What's going on rock blog readers? This weekend was a little Spring teaser for me. Saturday I went out to New Jersey and it was such a beautiful day! I hope I'm not alone when pleading for summer to hurry up and get here!
Make sure you check out SURS this week. Today we have Anti-Flag on our brand new set (4/7/08), and on Wednesday we have our last Taste of Chaos '08 episode (4/10/08) with Atreyu and all of the JRock bands (MUCC, D'espairsRay, The Underneath).
We just posted all of those TOC '08 pictures on our MySpace.
I'll end things with a band for you to go find. A friend named Tony told me to check out a band called Dr. Manhattan. They're is exactly what I've been looking for. A little mix up from the past few months of what I've been rocking to.
much love-
naomi

What's up with Fuse?
I get this question a lot lately. Actually, I've gotten it since the channel was called MuchMusicUSA. Everyone wants to know why there's changes. Why the channel shows movies and not as much rock. Well, I'll tell you and get ready for some hard truths people.
Music videos don't rate.
WHAT? NO WAY? Sadly, it's true. Television is rated on an antiquated system called the Nielsen's and music videos never add up. This is why the other music video channel doesn't play music anymore.
"But Steven, MTV's been around for over twenty years? Why was it so popular?" Simple. There weren't as many cable channels and there wasn't satellite or digital cable. Now look at your cable box. There are over one thousand channels. it's bonkers? How can Fuse compete?
The answer is simple - with fans like you writing us and telling us why you like Fuse. Not everyone has a Nielsen box (I've only met two people in my lifetime who have) and obviously you guys are our fans, so here's what I need you to do:
Write a letter. An actual physical letter (no emails, no blogs, no myspace comments) telling why you love Fuse. Give me a list of your favorite bands and sign the damn thing with your real name and where you're from.
Get five of your friends who might not be on friends on the SURS myspace to do the same. Then we'll have some crazy numbers and the powers that be will have to listen to your plight.
Mail them to me:
Steven Smith
Fuse 11 Penn Plaza
17th Floor
New York, NY 10009
Got it? Excelllent!
Now put pen to paper and write a letter.
Spread the word!
your friend,
Steven

Please Mr. Postman
Ahoy oy
It's Esteban wishing you a glorious weekend.
I am slightly headachy this morn as I was out late last night with my good friend Fat Mike. By the by, you have got to check out Fuse's new show NOFX Backstage Passport premiering April 15th.
Now usually Fuse asks me to kindly let you all know about new shows but this time I'm doing it all by my lonesome because I love the show that much.
It's brilliant and you will love it. So watch it.
Now back to the Untitled. I am adoring all the viewer mail you send in. As I always have and my adoration swells for you folks who remember to put YOUR REAL NAME AND WHERE YOU ARE FROM ON THE MESSAGES. This is paramount people. You'll find out why soon enough.
We had a great week with Anti-Flag, the interview will air next week. I love those guys. Such great, great dudes. Their new album is sick SICK. Go get it when it comes out. Should be soon.
Ugh - curse you Fat Mike!
hugs,
Steven
